Onward + Upward

Where to even begin with this blog? It seems like just yesterday I was packing up my apartment in Seattle, but that was actually in May and now it’s somehow the end of July.

Since moving to California, I’ve pumped the breaks on my social media activity, decided to only work for Artisans on Fire, + put my focus into manifesting a better way of life for myself. For the past year I’ve worked for other people and it’s always put my dreams for thiscannabislife on the back burner. Day in + day out I would think about where I wanted to take thiscannabislife, but my bills had to get paid + paid work always comes first. Not only that, but how much I was working was running me into the ground. I felt I could barely keep my head above water.

That’s not to say this past year hasn’t been incredible - it’s been more than incredible honestly. I’ve grown as a photographer, a business woman, + most importantly as a person. I’ve had the chance to travel + meet some of the most outstanding women, but the way I was working wasn’t sustainable + I couldn’t ignore that any longer. So that led me here, restructuring what I was doing + going back to the drawing board.

In the midst of figuring out how to make thiscannabislife everything I’ve always wanted it to be, I found myself working closely with Sam, the founder of Fez. From branding to business plans to timelines, Sam was truly a breath of fresh air. She was helping me focus on me, my well being, + my future. That led us to where we are now.

I’m beyond excited to say Sam and I joined forces + are now co-owners at Fez, which makes me the company VP. I’ll be managing all things creative, working on marketing, and leading our affiliate program. The best part of this? Sam is also now a co-owner at thiscannabislife + a full re-brand is well underway! For the first time since starting in the cannabis industry, I am officially my own boss and chasing after my own vision.

While my site will be live for a few more days, it’ll soon be under construction for the final stages of rebranding.
